Martin's next film is entitled "The Long Play" and it will be about two friends in the music business: it will "highlight the rise and fall of musical genres along the way, touching on everything from the salad days of R&B to rock and up through contemporary hip-hop."--"William Monahan, the screenwriter of "The Departed," will rewrite the screenplay; Mick Jagger ( will coproduce." -IFC

Variety has reported that director Darren Lynn Bousman(Saw 2,3,and 4)will be doing his take on David Cronenberg's "Scanners". Hmmm-this could be bad.

Variety has also announced Danny Boyle's next film already. Sunshine isn't even out yet.

"Ponte Tower" will be shot entirely in one of the tallest skyscrapers in Africa: "The 54-storey cylindrical Ponte Tower in Johannesburg, South Africa, was considered one of the city's most desirable addresses and a powerful symbol of white affluence under apartheid when it was built in 1975. Local papers even dubbed it "heaven on earth."
"But despite breathtaking views the hulking urban landmark disintegrated into a wind-ravaged hellhole infected by gangs, guns and drugs likened by some to the Tower of Babel."
